Wiggly Play Center!

Today we went to the Wiggly Play Center in Frisco. It was a lot of fun. Jake and Zoe had a great time sliding and then driving the cars around.

Brett Favre at Open House!

Tonight was Open House at Brendan's school. The 3rd graders have all been working on biographies of various famous/influential people. B picked Brett Favre (he's been very into football lately). They were all to dress as their chosen person and give a brief speech to anyone that stopped by their desk. It was pretty cool and he seemed to have fun with it.

Happy Day Mommy!

Today was my birthday! It's hard to believe that I'm 37... That just sounds older than what I feel! It was a good day. Mom brought bagels to work for me and my co-workers, Jeff took me out to lunch, and then we went to dinner after we picked up the boys. I told him I didn't want a present since we've spent so much money lately on the TV, fridge and dishwasher. He decided that he should get me a little something, so he got me season 1 of Two & a Half Men. That show just cracks us up!!

All in all, a very good day!

Snow in Texas - March 6th!

It snowed today! This has been a weird weather week... Sunday, it was in the 70's. Monday night it snowed a lot for about 2 hours, but had mostly melted by morning. Tuesday and Wednesday it was chilly, but not horrible. And then today, it started raining and then turned into snow by early afternoon. We left work at 2:30 to get the boys after we got word that the extended school day had been cancelled. It took about an hour to get to the school and then as soon as we were home, Brendan was outside with his friends. He had a blast!! After a while, Jeff went out to play too. I waited a few more minutes and then took Jake out. We don't get snow often, so we don't have boots or even gloves to wear in this kind of weather. Poor Jake's hands were freezing after a few minutes. They had so much fun though!

Small steps to a new kitchen

We are taking small steps to re-do the kitchen. We ordered a new refrigerator and dishwasher! They were delivered yesterday. The fridge looks awesome! Unfortunately, they delivered the wrong dishwasher. The man at Home Depot keyed in the wrong number when he placed our order, so now we have to wait while they fix it and send us the right one. We should get that on Wednesday. It sounds silly, but I'm excited!

The next step I would like to do in there is to get new countertops. I know that will have to wait at least a year or two (maybe 3?), but eventually it will happen! In the meantime, a girl can dream... :)
